Unlike the last two generations, this TDI is not forgiving what so ever. When someone puts gas in the Common Rail (CR for short), all that is takes is cranking the engine to do damage. If the car is started, usually it will be driven until it stops running. What that means is gas is in the entire fuel system.
It was also the first Japanese manufacturer of a diesel engine with a block made entirely of aluminum. The engine has common rail injection, variable geometry turbocharger, intercooler and EGR valve. The engine had a power of 75 hp and 170 Nm of torque - not much, but adequate for a city car. Shortcomings in the dynamics are certainly
Dec 6, 2019. #2. Probably the "Chuck Norris" of the TDI world is the ALH+manual, 2000-2003. So, you already have that. A close second, and could probably be hair splitting a third place with two pedals, would be the BEW cars (2004-2005 Golf and NB, 2004 and early 2005 Jetta sedan, 2004-06 Jetta wagon).
TDI. 2000 Jetta MT. Jan 20, 2009. #5. I would suggest just fixing what broke. Pull the head and pistons, remembering to number and match each. I would bet the damage is in the head and with bad timing. Consider getting the head rebuilt (time + $600) and a new matched set of pistons, gasket set, head+rod bolts and new rod bearings.
The compression ratio of the BXE engine is 18.5 (which is quite a lot), and the power is 105 hp. Before overhaul, this engine can βrunβ 300,000 km without problems (and in fact much more). Applicability of 1.9 TDI BXE engine. Audi : A3 (2006-2009) Seat: Leon (2006-2010), Toledo (2006-2009), Altea (2006-2010) Skoda : Octavia (2006-2010)

joa2n. TDI. 2000 Audi A4 1.9TDI quattro. Oct 21, 2008. #23. Id' certainly look into boring an engine, however you're looking at alot of money for custom pistons as available oversizes are typically only .25mm over. Stingray RT supposedly has a piston at 83mm but I havn't figured out how to get him to sell me any.

One of the reasons the 1.9tdi is so bullet proof is it doesn't have a balance shaft! The oil pump on the 1.9tdi has a robust and proven drive. The biggest issue with the 1.9tdi will be finding one at a "reasonable cost " as they are becoming an ever popular buy on the used car scene and are fetching premium prices.
But still, having an 131 bhp 1.9 TDI under the bonnet of a VW Golf IV is like having Moet Chandon champagne in a can of Budweiser. There are some myths lurking on the internet that the 150 bhp βARLβ was mounted also in the VW Golf IV, but good luck finding one of those. Also, all 1.9 TDI engines suffer from worn engine mounts at old age.
The new 9-3X came with two engine choices: the 1.9 L diesel (producing 180 bhp) and the 2.0 L petrol engine (producing the 210 bhp). Only the 2.0 L petrol engine is equipped with the XWD while the diesel version is available only with front-wheel-drive. 2010. For 2010, the Saab 9-3 Aero's turbocharged V6 was eliminated.
Our guess is that the 1.9-litre motor would feel a little underpowered trying to lug such a weight β especially up hills β and that 2.0-litre TDi would perform much better.
is 1.9 tdi a good engine
