I think heroes 4 is a great game, I did never like heroes 3, heroes 5 was ok and had good graphics and storyline. but I found it to hard (I never finished the campagins on the original or any of the expansions) and heroes 3 is way to hard for me, but heroes 4 is a really good game and I like the combat system alot. although it could use a at the current state theres nothing worse then VII but if VII will get fixed (i doubt it will but still hope ^^) it will be much better then VI, maybe even the best heroes game of them all. #7. Age of Wonders doesn't compare to Heroes of might & magic 3, but it does compare pretty accurately to another game from 20 years ago called "Master of Magic." In many ways, AOW3 feels like a continuation of MoM the ways Heroes feels like a continuation of a game from 25 years ago called "Kings Bounty." (No relation to the games on Steam I would put 5 ahead of 2. There's really no reason to play 2 once you have 3, 3 is basically just 2 plus a lot more of everything. There are more differences between 3 and 5, even if 3 10. Dispels positive magic effects from enemy creatures and negative effects from friendly creatures. Total dispel chance equals the constant + (Cleansing caster level - targeted spell level) * 3%; the constant is level of 1-7 for normal, and 2-8 for upgraded creatures. 40% chance to dispel. 60% chance to dispel. 80% chance to dispel. The biggest differences as I see them are the skill system is far different not only haveing basic skills but perks as well and you can have fewer of them. The way mana is regenerated is now 1 point per knowledge per day. The combat is different with the initiative system, so some creatures move more times than others. ezye. Going back to seven resources instead of three. MMH7 is most in line with the earlier games. I like both games for their music, stories and atmosphere. 7 feels more alive. 6 has intricate unit abilities, 7 is somewhat simpler but adds flanking. I'd say 6 is a bit of a weird guy, 7 the newest version of 5. at the current state theres nothing worse then VII but if VII will get fixed (i doubt it will but still hope ^^) it will be much better then VI, maybe even the best heroes game of them all. #7. I loved 2, 3, 5, and I really enjoy 6. Between 5 and 6 I'd have to say I think 6 is better - I like the abilities and having better stuff for Might heroes. ErroneousBosch. I literally just posted a Steam review today. Uinstalled after 4 hour of playing and wish I had saved my $10. HoMM 1. I've only played a beta from Might & Magic Heroes 6, but from what I seen I think it's worse that HoMM 5. HoMM 1 it's a much simplified HoMM 2. The same cartoonish graphics, but only 4 towns/races: Knight, Barbarian, Sorceress and Warlock. Only primary skills (Attack, Defense, Power Spell and Knowledge). The No Enemy Retaliation ability means there is little reason not to attack every round, and Life Drain makes it far easier to end most combats with as many vampires as the player started with. The vampire is best used aggressively.
